Sometimes, when I come home, it appears to have been a rough day at home. While Tom is off from classes for a few weeks, we don’t use our regular playcare, so Tom is in charge all day long. It seems to be as exhausting during the week as it is during the weekend when he’s at work and I’m in charge!

Maybe someday we’ll both have run-of-the-mill weekday jobs and the kids’ll be in school and it’ll be easier. But all signs point to exhaustion for years! How did we propagate this far as species when kids are this energy draining?!
