We took a walk in the woods the other day. I’ve been trying to get the boys out of the house more; it’s hard as a working mother to make sure your kids get all the experiences you want them too. I have fond memories of playing in the woods as a kid, especially with Nate, but it seem that all woods are either owned by private persons or come with warnings about not traveling off path. Technically, the path we were on came with that latter warning, but we still had a wonderful time looking at moss, spiders, kicking pinecones and playing in trees, all from the comfort of the path. If only we owned woods that our children could play in without abandon.
